Girl, eight, lured away by stranger in Brierley Hill
An eight-year-old girl was lured away by a man asking for help to find a missing dog in Brierley Hill, detectives said today.
The youngster was in Lockfield Close at 2pm on Saturday when she was approached by a man on a bike.
Detectives say the man struck up a conversation with the girl and then showed her a phone image of a dog he claimed had disappeared.
She walked with him to the green between Blackthorn Road and Swanfield Road where police say he touched her inappropriately over her clothing.
The girl – who was not physically injured – ran off and reported the incident to her parents who contacted police.
The man is described as being in his mid 20s and around 5ft 6ins tall with short, straight brown hair, brown eyes and clean shaven.
Witnesses are asked to call West Midlands Police on 101.
