Concern is growing for a vulnerable man who has been missing from his home in Great Barr for almost a week.

Steven Denis O'Gara, aged 38, has not been seen since leaving his home in Tower Hill at around 6.30pm last Tuesday.

He has not been in contact with his family and they are worried for his safety.

Mr O'Gara is described as white and of slim build, with short dark brown hair and stubble.

He was last seen wearing a light blue thin-collared shirt with dragons on the front, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and a black waterproof jacket.

He could be in Birmingham or may have travelled to Weston-super-Mare.

Inspector Ifti Ahmed, from Birmingham Police, said: "Steven has learning difficulties and we are becoming extremely concerned about his whereabouts. We urgently need to trace him to make sure that he is safe.

"We need help from the public to find him, I urge anyone who may have seen Steven to call me or a member of team, as soon as they can on 101, or call the Missing People charity on 116 000."
