Prominent mixed-use property in Wombourne snapped up for seven-figure sum
Asper Property Group has completed the acquisition of a prominent mixed-use property in Wombourne for a seven-figure sum, adding to its growing Midlands portfolio.
The property group has snapped up Central Buildings, in the South Staffordshire village's High Street, and plans to undertake a comprehensive programme of refurbishment and regeneration works in collaboration with existing tenants to enhance the site’s long-term appeal and sustainability.

Charlie London, managing director of Asper Property Group, said: “Central Buildings is a prime location on Wombourne High Street and had been owned by the same family for 75 years. We’re excited to build on its strong legacy and work closely with tenants to revitalise this important part of the village centre.”
The property comprises four retail units, an office block, several commercial units and outhouses, car parking, and a two-bedroom apartment — accommodating 14 tenants and generating an annual rental income of approximately £120,000.
Positioned near the village green in the heart of Wombourne’s vibrant High Street, Central Buildings benefits from strong footfall and a mix of independent shops, cafés, and services. It occupies a prominent location opposite the cricket ground, with Boots and other national operators nearby and ample street and public parking.
The acquisition adds to Asper Property Group’s expanding portfolio of Midlands investments, including Quantum Works in Stourbridge, Earlswood Business Park, and The Row, a landmark roadside development in Droitwich.
Cherry Elliott of law firm Talbots acted for Asper Property Group while the seller was advised by Emma Chater of mfg Solicitors.
