Purchasing the site marks a significant milestone in the Wolverhampton business's growth strategy, with 10 new jobs being created for the local area.

Additional funding from HSBC UK has been approved for new machinery and production equipment, which is scheduled for installation and commissioning by the end of October 2025.

As a result, the business expects to increase its production capacity by 12,000 tonnes and plans to enhance its supply chain capabilities by producing higher volumes of stock to meet the rising demand for high-quality, UK-manufactured tissue products.

Nikul Patel, managing director of Task Consumer Products, said: “This investment allows us to respond directly to growing market demand and broaden our product range while remaining firmly rooted in our community. With support from HSBC UK, we’re not just expanding our footprint, we’re creating jobs, increasing capacity, and building for the future. This is part of a number of new projects the company has planned over the coming years.”

Partho Bose, relationship director at HSBC UK, added: “Task Consumer Products is a brilliant example of a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial British manufacturer. We’re delighted to support the team with this latest expansion, which not only builds resilience into their supply chain but also supports regional job creation and long-term growth.”

Established in 2007, Task Consumer Products is one of the UK’s largest independent paper suppliers, with a manufacturing capacity exceeding 120,000 tonnes annually. It produces toilet tissue, kitchen towel and away-from-home paper products, tailored to a wide range of packaging formats and specifications for both retail and wholesale markets.
