Wolverhampton roadside assistance company drives business forward with five-figure funding boost
A rapidly growing roadside assistance and vehicle recovery company has secured £50,000in funding from ART Business Loans to expand its operations and strengthen its position in the market.
Rockhopper Rescue & Recovery based in Wolverhampton has expanded its fleet of roadside recovery vehicles and recruited an extra two members of staff thanks to a five-figure investment from ART Business Loans.
Established in 2023, Rockhopper Rescue & Recovery works with insurance companies, accident management firms, breakdown associations and public sector customers to provide roadside rescue and recovery services across the West Midlands and surrounding counties.
Following a period of rapid growth, Rockhopper contacted ART Business Loans to support with funding to buy additional vehicles and recruit two new team members to handle increased demand during the busy summer period.
To support the company’s growth, the business has employed a commercial technician and specialist vehicle to allow Rockhopper to provide roadside assistance to vehicles over 7.5tonnes, as well as maintaining the company’s own fleet of vehicles, saving thousands of pounds in external servicing and maintenance costs.
The company has grown its workforce from five to seven employees, including an additional member of the office team and specialist commercial technician.
Rockhopper Rescue & Recovery director Adam Court said: "As a small business, securing funding can be challenging, but Graham from ART Business Loans was great. He came to see the operation and took the time to understand our business and what we were trying to achieve.
"The funding allowed us to purchase new vehicles outright with no further need for expensive vehicle finance. It also meant we could secure the employment of our current team as well as employ two additional team members, which we have since done."
ART Business Loans manager Graham Donaldson said: "Rockhopper Rescue &Recovery is exactly the type of growing business we're pleased to support. Adam and his team have built a solid operation and had clear plans for expansion. We could see they had the experience and customer base to make good use of the funding. It's rewarding to see how our investment has helped them grow their workforce and expand their services.
”The majority of ART Business Loans deals begin with introductions from commercial brokers and financial advisors, with Rockhopper’s accountant recommending a financial advisor who then connected the company with ART Business Loans."
