Watch: Willenhall food plant's multi-million pound development almost complete after major blaze two years ago
Work to rebuild a Willenhall food distribution hub is making strides after a huge blaze destroyed part of the premises two years ago.
Our latest aerial images are showing the walls and roof up at distribution company Midland Chilled Foods, also known as Midland Food Group, in Stringes Lane which was hit by a major fire in January 2023.
The flames and smoke could be seen for miles around and around 70 per cent of the unit was destroyed during the incident which saw around 50 firefighters tackle it. The new development is expected to be ready soon.
Since the fire owners the Italy based Granarolo Group have invested £10 million in a new state-of-the art head office and wholesale food distribution centre at the site as part of its business expansion plan.
