Bronx Engineering in Brierley Hill celebrated the release of its latest product innovation, the 'High Strength Precision Leveller', with an open-day at its offices.
An audience of key figures from the metal strip processing industry were invited to attend a technical presentation and detailed briefing of the unique design features incorporated in the latest Bronx Leveller machine, followed by an opportunity to view this state-of-the-art machine.
Bronx in Pedmore Road fought-off stiff International competition to secure the order for supply of the precision leveller machine to a local steel service centre in the West Midlands. The machine is now in full production.
Managing director Brian Lunn said: "Steel production is trending towards thinner gauge, higher strength materials to primarily satisfy the demands of the automotive sector. Combined with a quality standard of 'zero-marking', conventional levellers are no longer able to address these material requirements to the necessary standard of flatness."
Bronx continues to invest heavily in leveller research and development technology with dedicated staff working closely with the University of Wolverhampton. Several further leveller orders have been received by Bronx since the open day.
