A Shropshire town council is inviting local businesses to share their news, achievements, events and promotions to help showcase what the town has to offer.

Businesses in Bridgnorth are being encouraged to get in touch with details of new products or services, special offers, milestones, community activities or stories that residents and visitors might enjoy.

The town council said with Christmas approaching, it would particularly welcome news of festive activities, seasonal promotions and window displays. However, the invitation extends throughout the year, helping celebrate and support Bridgnorth’s businesses beyond the festive season.

Town Mayor, Chris Aked said: “Bridgnorth has a wonderful variety of businesses, with hardworking people behind them and plenty of good stories to tell. We want to help more residents and visitors discover what is available locally and encourage them to support our town’s businesses.

“If you have something happening at your business, please get in touch. Whether it’s a festive event, a new service or an achievement you’re proud of, we would love to hear about it.”

The town council said it is also exploring opportunities to make empty shop windows look more welcoming over the festive period. Owners and managing agents of vacant town-centre premises are invited to get in touch if they would be interested in allowing a temporary window display.

Businesses can submit a few lines about their news, relevant dates, website or social media links, and a photograph they have permission for the town council to publish to: [email protected].
