Bond Wolfe sets sights on next 50 auctions as staff numbers double and sales surge past £1.1 billion

A Midlands property business is set to surge past £1.1 billion in sales in seven years since its launch when it holds its 50th auction next month.

Since its first auction in March 2019, Birmingham-based Bond Wolfe has sold 7,357 properties with an industry-leading overall success rate of 90 per cent.

During that time, staff numbers have doubled and the team has raised more than £100,000 for various West Midland charities and good causes.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “Right at the start of our second year of trading we were hit by the onset of the Covid pandemic and the team worked extremely hard to pivot virtually overnight to livestream auctions only.

“Going solely online was a new world for us and for auctions, but we could not have anticipated the huge success the move has proven.

“In the past seven years, we have stepped up our marketing efforts with marked results stemming from a huge presence and following on social media, and we have also issued 1,083 press releases in that time – purely for our auction division – around 12 a month, on properties all over the UK.

“We have seen online viewings, virtual tours and on-the-day bidding surge to a level where we now have prospective buyers watching and biding their time from all parts of the UK, Europe and even globally.”

Bond Wolfe’s success rate has been recognised officially with the firm acting for Birmingham City Council, Solihull Council, Wolverhampton Council, Walsall Council, Sandwell Council, West Midlands Police and various institutional and housing association clients.

The business has also largely developed and promoted home grown talent, with numerous internal promotions across the years.

Mr Bassi said: “We always say we are one big family and during this time, we have celebrated three Bond Wolfe weddings, four Bond Wolfe babies, numerous staff milestone birthdays and many staff buying their first homes.

“That’s why first and foremost, I would like to pay tribute to all our staff past and present for their invaluable contribution.

“And we would all like to give a big thank you to our regular clients, partners and advisors.

“Here’s to the next 50 auctions, continued growth and new innovations such as AI coming into the marketplace!”

Bond Wolfe’s 50th auction will be livestreamed at 8.30am on Thursday May 14 via Bond Wolfe’s website, with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
