'Thanks again from me and my team in Bridgnorth': Town's Original Factory Shop announces closing day - here's when
A Bridgnorth discount store that went into administration earlier this year has announced the day when it will close for good.
The Original Factory Shop on Bridgnorth's High Street was one of 137 stores employing roughly 1,180 staff that it was announced would close when Modella Capital began insolvency proceedings in January.
Since then the store has continued to trade and has been holding a closing-down sale.
It has now announced its final day of trading.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the manager of Bridgnorth Original Factory Shop announced that the store would cease trading next month.
The statement said: "It is with great sadness for the staff within my store that I post this message to our amazing customers. Our store is closing here in Bridgnorth.
"Our last trading day will be April 4.
"I’d like to firstly take the time to express my gratitude to my team; such hard-working and fun peopl. It’s been an absolute pleasure to have worked with you all, especially over the last six weeks where it’s been so tough, but as always they delivered impeccable customer service and have worked so hard despite the the knowledge that we were all losing our jobs.
"Secondly, I’d like to thank all of you our customers. We’ve received kind words from a lot of our regulars and I know this shop will be missed by the community. I do however ask more than ever to please respect my team and refrain from the constant personal questions. Remember, they’re still working very hard and all the information we have is the closing day.
"Please support us over the next couple weeks and pop in to say farewell and at the same time pick up some bargains. Thanks again from me and my team in Bridgnorth."
