Police probe launched after two staff members assaulted during robbery at Walsall Tesco

Police have appealed for help in identifying two people following a robbery at a supermarket in Walsall.

West Midlands Police have asked for help after two shop workers were assaulted during a robbery at Tesco supermarket, Wisemore, Walsall, just after 6.30pm on December 23.

The two members of staff were assaulted as items were taken from the store; however, they did not suffer serious injury.

The force has now launched an appeal for information to identify two people they wish to talk to in connection with the incident, asking anyone with information to contact them directly via their 101 number. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We've been working to identify those involved, and investigators are now asking for your help to identify the women in the images. 

"If you know who they are, call us on 101, or message via Live Chat, quoting crime reference 20/485458/25."
