The footpath and cycle lane in High Street will be temporarily closed for three weeks from the northern boundary line of West Plaza to the northern boundary line of Metro Court.
The ban will be in from January 26-February13 and access to any affected frontages will be maintained if safe to do so.
Sandwell Council said the closure was to facilitate access for remedial works by Cadent Gas.
A pedestrian diversion route will be in operation via High Street. For more information phone Cadent on 0800 008 6590.
