West Midlands Fire  Service have confirmed the fire broke out at a unit in Sunbeam Street, near the junction of Upper Villiers Street at around 7.30am yesterday morning (January 14). The cause has not yet been confirmed.

The incident saw smoke billowing over the city, local businesses affected by smoke and road closures - which continue this morning (Jan 15).

One business owner told the Express & Star 'Everything has been destroyed' - after the fire, which left units in ruin within the factory where the fire started.
