Man, 33, arrested after suspected Class A drugs seized in Walsall

A man has been arrested after police recovered suspected Class A drugs from a car in Walsall.

West Midlands Police stopped a suspicious vehicle in Croft Street, Walsall, just after 6.30pm on Monday.

Following a search of the vehicle, officers discovered suspected drugs, hundreds of pounds in cash, and a phone.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, with the force saying that he remains in custody for questioning.

A force spokesperson said: "We've arrested a man after recovering suspected Class A drugs from a car in Walsall.

"Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in Croft Street at just after 6.30pm yesterday (5 January).

"Following a search, we found suspected drugs, hundreds of pounds in cash and a phone.

"A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. He remains in custody for questioning."
