'They are gifts of dignity' - Walsall council and charity volunteers deliver baby care packs for struggling families across the borough

Walsall Council shared some good cheer for families of new babies across the borough for the second time this year -and there was plenty of fun involved along the way.

Over 300 free baby care packs were distributed in association with charity partners Care Packs Limited UK in Wednesbury, Walsall and Blakenall on Wednesday.

The packs are aimed at vulnerable families across the borough and contain essential items needed to care for new born babies such as nappy sacks, lotion and sponges and shampoo and wash. 

330 packs were delivered to to the West Hub, South and Central Hub, North Hub and East Hub, with 180 remaining packs being distributed to the council's community shops in the coming weeks.

Families, councillors and representatives of Care Pack Limited also enjoyed some 'Frosty Fun' at the South and Central Hub in Birchills Street, Walsall town centre with parents and youngsters joining in
