Bilston man, 76, charged with 2008 murder of Tipton taxi driver

A 76-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a Tipton-based taxi driver in 2008.

David Harrison, aged 76, from Bilston, is due to appeal at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on January 6, 2026, accused of the fatal shooting of 39-year-old taxi driver, Harun Khan.

Mr Khan, a father of four, was shot outside his home in Tudor Street, Tipton, at 9.25pm on March 3, 2008.

He was taken to hosptial; however, he was pronounced dead a short time later. 

Harrison was also charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following another shooting, this time involving a 27-year-old man in Farthings Lane, Dudley, on December 14, 2007. 

Harrison was also further charged with two counts of possessing a firearm.
