Police called to youth football game in Walsall after reports of disorder
A youth football game had to be abandoned when fans, players and coaches became embroiled in ugly scenes
Police were called to an under 18s game at Oak Park, Walsall Wood between Walsall Wood and Wolverhampton Casuals when spectators came onto the pitch and allegedly started fighting with coaches, and threatening some of the players.
According to an eyewitness, who didn't want to be named, a remark from one of the coaches about an injured player caused the problem and he also alleged knives were seen and some of the players and their parents were prevented from leaving the car park.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to disorder during a football game in Lichfield Road, Walsall Wood, at just after 9.30pm yesterday (Thursday)
"Afterwards a teenager reported being threatened by someone they feared had a weapon.
