The Jigger 'Miner' Island, near Brownhills High Street, has been decorated with poppies and flags ahead of the Brownhills Remembrance Day event on Sunday.

Members of the community were spotted placing 'lest we forget' flags and poppies on the Miner Island statue to help remember those who sacrificed in Britain's conflicts.

It comes ahead of Brownhills' Remembrance Day event, which will see a parade travel around the Brownhills Memorial at 10.30am, before proceeding on to St James Church to observe a minute's silence at 11am, and a laying of wreaths.
