Four arrested after man assaulted at Wolverhampton skatepark

Two teenagers and two men have been arrested following an assault at a Wolverhampton skatepark in the summer.

West Midlands Police said the dour arrests relate to an assault of a 20-year-old man on August 9.

A girl aged 17, a boy aged 18, and two men aged 22 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to the scene, on the Penn Road, by paramedics.

"The victim was taken to hospital with serious head injuries but has since left hospital.

"The suspects were released on bail and we are now liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service for the consideration of charges.

"We are aware of speculation on social media, and that a video of the assault has been shared, but we there is no evidence at this stage of any racial motivation for the attack."
