Man arrested in Wolverhampton after drugs found in car

A man has spent the night in police custody after drugs were recovered from a car in the Bradley area of Wolverhampton last night (Sunday).

Police were called to a report of men arguing in a car on Sunday evening. On arrival the car pulled away but came to a stop a short time later. 

Drugs, believed to be cocaine, were recovered from the car.

Police said the man is due in court today.
Police said the man had been arrested.

A 49-year-old man was arrested from a nearby address, on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and failing to stop for police.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Our enquiries continue today.

"Tackling issues around drugs and anti-social behaviour remain a priority for us and anyone with information to help our ongoing work is urged to call us on 101."
