The council said that the outdoor market, which was due to take place on Saturday, will now be cancelled; however, the indoor market will still go ahead.
A spokesperson for Wolverhampton Council said: "Due to the high winds forecast from Storm Amy, Saturday's Bilston Outdoor Market has been cancelled.
"Bilston Indoor Market, City Centre Market, and Wednesfield Market will be open as usual."
Much of the West Midlands has been included in a yellow warning for wind from midnight tonight to 7pm on Saturday, before gradually easing over Sunday.
The storm is currently developing over the Atlantic, with it expected to bring disruptive wet and windy weather for much of the UK over the weekend.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "We need to watch out for the strong winds, with the potential for power cuts, disruption to other services, flying debris and trees being blown down and potential flooding.
"The strongest winds will be overnight Friday into Saturday, but it will nonetheless be very windy across Northern parts. So, it's a showery day for many places."
The weather is expected to remain breezy on Sunday and into next week; however, it will largely be dry with sporadic spells of rain.
