'Plan ahead' - Vehicle fire causes major disruption on M6 between Staffordshire and Walsall

A vehicle fire on the M6 has led to disruption on the M6.

West Midlands Roads has warned of 'major disruption' following a vehicle fire on the M6 southbound between Junction 11 (south Staffordshire) and Junction 10A (Walsall).

The incident has led to the southbound carriageway being closed at 10.13am, with traffic building on the route.

A West Midlands Roads spokesperson said: "M6 Southbound between J11 - 10A.

"Vehicle fire, Southbound carriageway closed. Plan Ahead: Allow extra time for your journey."
