'Chill Out!' Staffordshire road traffic cops stop driver on M6 who strapped fridge-freezer on car roof

Shocked drivers in Staffordshire saved the day by reporting a motorists who dangerously transporting fridge-freezer on the top of their car on the motorway.

Staffordshire Police Crime Team raced to catch the driver of the black Mercedes on the M6 yesterday (Wednesday) before an accident happened. 

They pulled over the vehicle and ensured it did not endanger other motorists.

Staffordshire RCT posted on social media: "This vehicle was stopped northbound on the #M6 following numerous calls of an insecure load about to fall off.

"This is definitely not the way to secure a fridge freezer for transportation."

The team added: "Driver reported and educated accordingly."

The post caused amusement on X, formerly Twitter, with Shabba Ranks commenting: "He needs to “chill out” after that." 

And Steve added: "He thought it was fridge magnet!"
