Four men charged with various offences following violent disorder in Kingstanding

Four men have been charged with various offences after a violent disorder in Kingstanding, Birmingham.

West Midlands Police were called to a melee on Hawthorn Road last Wednesday and found a man with serious injuries.

After an investigation, a police spokesman said: "Kevin Hadley, aged 40 and Justin Hadley, aged 33 have been charged with violent disorder, wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

"Jason Hadley, aged 37 and Pedro Taylor-Powell, aged 41 have been charged with violent disorder."

The men, all from Kingstanding, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court and have been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court next month.

The police spokesman added: "This comes after we were called to Hawthorn Road at around 5pm last Wednesday (20 Aug) to reports of disorder. One man was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Officers also arrested three men on suspicion of violent disorder and have since been bailed pending further enquiries. We are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to get in touch with us."
