Woman, 21, dies after being hit by car in Sutton Coldfield - two arrests
A woman has tragically died after being hit by a car in Sutton Coldfield town centre last night (Friday)
The 21-year-old woman was struck, along with another pedestrian, on Brassington Avenue, which runs alongside The Gracechurch Shopping Centre, just before midnight (Friday).
The woman died at the scene whilst another woman was treated for a leg injury which is not thought to be life-threatening.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are in custody this morning.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from West Midlands Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who died at this time.
"We are continuing our enquiries and are keen to hear from anyone who was driving near the scene or in the streets nearby before or after the collision happened.
"Any dashcam or doorbell footage you have would really help our investigation."
