'We couldn't be anymore proud': Triple Destinctions* and high scores for Sandwell College pupils as students receive their T-level results
One Sandwell College student was awarded three D*s, the highest possible grade attainable.
Thousands of eager and nervous students rushed to Sandwell College, on Spon Lane, West Bromwich, this morning to get their T-level and BTEC results, the equivilient of A-Levels, after two years of intense studying.
It comes as anxious pupils across the country are granted their end-of-year exam results, spelling joy or sadness, as they are granted high or low marks.
The results come after two years of intensive learning by the students, with many hoping to go to their preferred universities to continue their studies or apprenticeships to work in the field.

For some, however, the result envelope will mean a period of scrambling for second university choices or different career paths.
But not for Sandwell College, as the many students who attended the institution celebrated their scores across the board, with one student even achieving the highest result possible, the coveted triple Destinction*.

Shadowed by her mom, Kate Barnett, Abigail Evans, 18, from Sandwell, achieved the monumental score in sports coaching and development, saying that she 'couldn't be more proud'.
Beaming with pride, Abigail said: "I couldn't be more proud. I'm planning to go to Birmingham City University or Worcester to study an undergraduate degree in Physical Education.
"I couldn't be any prouder or more grateful for all the teachers and friends who provided me with all the support they showed me. It's unbelievable."

Proud mom Kate said she 'couldn't be prouder' of her daughter, saying that she worked tirelessly through the two years to achieve the high grade.
Kate said: "I couldn't be prouder of her. She has worked so hard, and everything she has achieved she has earned on her own back.
"She amazes us constantly. It's amazing what she can achieve."
However, Abigail wasn't the only student walking away with a proud grin on her face, with scores of other pupils also leaving the building with beaming smiles and high aspirations.
Isaac Onwochei, who studied engineering, also smashed his exams, achieving a monumental triple Destinction grade and walking away from the college with a full-time job at HydraPower Dynamics.

He said: "I've met so many amazing people at Sandwell College who have helped me to get to the places I didn't think I'd be able to go.
"This diploma is proof that you can do anything when you put your mind to it. I now have a full-time job at HydraPower Dynamic, which has supported me and helped me achieve this result."
Principal of The Sandwell Colleges, Lisa Capper MBE, said that 2025 has been an amazing year for her students, adding that today's results are a reflection of the hard work and success of their students.

She said: "2025 has been a fantastic year at The Sandwell Colleges. We’ve seen huge success from our students securing their vocational and technical qualifications across wide-ranging industries - from health and social care and business management, to construction, engineering and digital.
"Our students are showcasing how vocational and technical study can deliver positive outcomes and bright futures for young people.
"Today’s results are a reflection of hard work and dedication from our students as well as continued commitment from our expert teachers and support staff who are always ambitious for our learners."
