Crooked House two years on: Campaigners renew vow but express concern over land near to the famous pub
Two years ago to the day, the Crooked House pub was ravaged by fire and then destroyed by a bulldozer two days later.
It sent shockwaves not just around the Black Country but nationwide and around the world, with people from far and world recounting tales of their visits to the revered 'Britain's Wonkiest Pub.'
Since then, people have vowed to fight to have the pub re-built 'brick by brick,' with Facebook group Save the Crooked House (Let's Get it Rebuilt) boasting over 37.5k members and its plight and that of other heritage pubs being brought up in Parliament a number of times. by past and present MPs who represent the Himley area.

At the moment though, Paul Turner from the Save the Crooked House group is concerned about the path leading up to the site of the pub, which has suffered from fly-tipped waste and has been affected by the adjacent landfill site.

Speaking to the Express & Star he said: "The aim has always been and continues to be to get the Crooked House re-built brick by brick but at the moment, two years on, we are worried about the safety of the area immediately in front of it.
