Mystery men who helped five Birmingham criminals shoot Darlaston father warned they 'will be brought to justice'
The mystery men who helped five Birmingham criminals shoot a Darlaston father minutes after the school run are still being hunted by police, the Crown Prosecution Service declared.
Yesterday (Tuesday) at Wolverhampton Crown Court five men admitted shooting a Darlaston father after the morning school run last October.
After denying conspiracy to commit murder and turning up for a seven week trial after a deal between the Crown Prosecution Service and the defendants legal team, all five pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
Mohammed Ishtiaq, aged 22, of Allens Avenue, Abdullah Amjad, aged 22, of Floyer Road, and 25-year-old Shamus Hussain, of Oldknow Road, Samir Khan, aged 18, and Dilawar Khan, aged 19, from Monica Road, all in Small Heath pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and causing grievous bodily harm with a shotgun. All five had been arrested within a month of the shooting, which led to police enforcing section 60 powers across Walsall.

With conspiracy to murder taken off the table the five will not face life imprisonment when they get sentenced in September. Due to pleading guilty their sentence will be automatically reduced as a seven week trial which would have stretched into September could have cost the taxpayer more than £100,000.
Possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life carries a sentence between four and 22 years, and causing grievous bodily harm with a firearm has a maximum sentence of life imprisonment but due to pleading guilty will not be imposed.
