A teenager has been arrested in Kingswinford after traffic officers carried out an operation to tackle vehicle thefts in the area.

Officers attempted to stop a suspected stolen electric bike that was being driven dangerously and later detained the suspect on Cedar Avenue, Kingswinford.
The 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply. A combat knife, class A drugs and mobile phones from a bag near the scene were recovered and a vehicle seized during the operation for having no insurance.
The teenager remains in custody for questioning.
Inspector Steven Crowe, from the Priority Crime Team in Dudley said: “We know the impact of vehicle crime on people’s livelihoods.
"We have seen an increase of vehicle thefts where offenders are using electric bikes and motorbikes to commit offences.
“We have identified hotspots and are conducting targeted operations such as this one today, to clamp down on the issue.
