£10,000 reward offered for information on murder of baby boy in Walsall four years ago
A £10,000 reward is being offered for information on the death of a baby boy in Walsall in 2021.
The independent charity Crimestoppers has offered the reward for key information around the death of a baby boy who was found in the Wyrley and Essington Canal at Rough Wood Country Park, near Willenhall, in May 2021.
West Midlands Police is still investigating the death, which. is being treated as murder by the force.
Despite extensive investigations, the identity of the baby's mother is still unknown.

Detective Superintendent Jim Munro, from West Midlands Police, said: "This baby boy deserves justice. His short life and tragic death must not be forgotten.
“We are determined to find answers, and with the public’s help, we believe we can.
“We’ll always act upon any new information provided to us. Please, if you have any information, get in touch. You can remain anonymous by giving information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
The £10k reward will be given to anyone who calls Crimestoppers directly and provides information that leads to an arrest, with the organisation saying that anyone giving information will 'remain anonymous' with 'no personal details taken'.
Alan Edwards, West Midlands regional manager for Crimestoppers, said: "This is a particularly sad and tragic case that has deeply affected the local community. We urgently need information that can help bring justice for this little boy and support for his mother.
"We believe someone out there knows something, and we want to encourage them to come forward anonymously. The £10,000 reward is offered to prompt anyone with information to speak up, no matter how small the detail."
