The Cuban inspired shed in Walsall that has been shortlisted for a major national accolade
More than 80 budding shed-builders have been reduced to 22 finalists for this year's Cuprinol's Shed of the Year awards.
As the temperatures continue to climb in regions across the UK, Cuprinol has announced the shortlisted diyers for this year's anticipated Cuprinol Shed of the Year 2025 awards.
This year's competition attracted 84 wildly inventive entrants from across the country, and after an exciting first round of judging, 22 spectacular sheds were shortlisted as potential finalists for this year's event, including one from Walsall.

The shortlisted 'sheddies' are now in with a chance of winning £1,000 in cash, a one-of-a-kind getaway experience, and £250 worth of Curpinol product.
Andrew Wilcov, founder and head judge of this year's Cuprinol competition, said: "19 years in, and I’m still constantly amazed at how much passion and imagination people pour into their sheds.
"Behind many of them lie powerful stories - sheds that connect generations, bring families together, and serve as hubs for communities. These aren’t just garden buildings; they’re meaningful spaces full of history, purpose, and connection."
Among the sheddies vying for the top spot is Glen Parker, from Walsall, who turned his regular old shed into a Cuban paradise, complete with music and a hint of the Caribbean.

Marianne Shillingford, Cuprinol Creative Director and Colour Expert, said: "It’s been incredible to see how people transform even the smallest spaces into something truly special; each one is a reminder that a shed is never just a shed. This year, it’s been especially inspiring to discover the personal stories behind these unique creations.
"I’m especially excited about the new Eco Haven category - it’s opened the door to such thoughtful, sustainable designs that are not only beautiful, but bursting with purpose."
Public voting for the competition is open until July 31, with everyone able to cast their votes for their favourite sheds on the Cuprinol website.
