Wolverhampton Council are continuing to offer drop-in sessions to all residents aged 16 and over with the goal of supporting individuals who need assistance with employment, training, and career development.

The Wolves at Work scheme offers dedicated one-to-one tutoring sessions to help gain confidence with a range of skills from CV writing, job application and interview support to assisting in job seeking with access to hundreds of local employers.

The scheme comes as part of National Employability Week - which runs from July 7 to July 11 - with the one-to-one sessions available to all Wolverhampton residents who are looking for work or considering their next career steps.

The council’s cabinet member for city development, jobs and skills, Councillor Chris Burden, said: “Securing a brighter future for local people by getting them into good jobs and training is one of the key priorities for the city.

“Employability Week brings this into sharp focus – and the community drop-in sessions are invaluable in reaching those who need support.

“Over the last 12 months, hundreds more people have been helped into jobs with city employers, and much of this is thanks to the efforts of the Wolves at Work programme.”

The drop-in events will be held across the schools, libraries, and nurseries in the Wolverhampton borough, with sessions starting from as early as 8.45am.
