Walsall care agency ordered to improve 'inconsistent staffing' after breaching rules
A Walsall based care agency was ordered to improve the standards of its operations after breaching staff recruitment regulations.
Industry watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has given home care business Amplelime Healthcare Limited in Lichfield Street an overall "requires improvement" rating in September last year after "receiving information of concern" about its workings.
As a result the company which provides personal care services to both elderly and young adults in their own homes was assessed over a four-week period between March 10-April 17. During the latest checks the inspectors found that safety of clients was "not always managed", inconsistent staffing resulted in the service "not always understanding what support" individuals required and that carers did not always arrive on time.
However, the CQC found that Amplelime was performing well in the areas of being "caring" and "responsive".
The assessment report stated: "We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
