Car left on roof after two-car collision at Dudley road junction
A collision between two vehicles at a road junction in Dudley left one on its roof and some of those involved requiring medical attention.
The collision happened at the junction of Cole Street and Saltwells Road in Netherton at around 7.10pm on Wednesday evening, with fire crews from Brierley Hill and Haden Cross Fire Stations called to the scene.
The crews arrived to find one car on its roof and another on all four wheels, with all involved in the collision having been able to exit the vehicles.
West Midlands Fire Service said that while no one had suffered life threatening injuries, some of the people involved were seriously injured and were checked by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
The area around the crash site was closed off by West Midlands Police while the fire crews worked to make the area safe.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "At around 7.10pm on Wednesday, June 11, we responded to an incident at the junction of Cole Street and Saltwells Road, Dudley.

"One fire engine and one brigade response vehicle attended, crewed by firefighters from Brierley Hill and Haden Cross fire stations.
"This was a road traffic collision (RTC) involving two cars. One car had come to rest on all four wheels, whilst another was on it's roof.
"Everyone involved in the collision had self extricated from their vehicles prior to our arrival.
"They received precautionary checks from paramedics before some were taken to hospital.
"No one was thought to have life threatening injuries.
"Our crews worked to make the vehicles safe.
"Colleagues from West Midlands Police were also in attendance, managing outer cordons."
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two vehicle RTC at the junction of Cole Street and Halesowen Road in Netherton at 7.10pm and sent an ambulance and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found two patients.
"The first, a man and the driver of one car, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital under emergency driving conditions.
"A woman was also assessed and discharged at the scene with self-care advice."
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to the junction of Cole Street and Halesowen Road in Netherton just after 7pm on Wednesday 11 June, to reports of a collision involving two cars.
"A man was taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries and a woman was assessed at the scene by ambulance colleagues.
"Our investigation into the circumstances around what happened is continuing, and anyone with information should contact us on 101 quoting log number 5349 of 11 June."
