Woman charged with stealing from shops in Bilston and Tipton
A woman has been charged with stealing items from a store in Bilston and one in Tipton.
West Midlands Police officers arrested the 46-year-old woman on Wednesday (June 4) and charged her with taking £300 worth of goods from a shop in Bilston in March, as well as a charge of robbing a store in Tipton in April.
The woman was due to appear in court today (Thursday, June 5).
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A woman is due in court today after we charged her over items being stolen from a store in Bilston, as our work to crack down on shop thefts continues.
"The 46-year-old was arrested and charged yesterday with theft following the report of £300 worth of goods being taken from the shop in March.
"She is also charged with robbery after threats were made to staff at a store in Tipton where items were stolen in April."
