Vans seized and penalty notices given after being stopped by police near Stafford
A convoy of vans and caravans were seized by police in Staffordshire after being found to have no insurance.
The stoppage occurred on Wednesday evening (June 4) at Stafford Services after officers from Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team stopped a caravan that wasn't displaying the correct Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM).
A convey of other vans and caravans also stopped at the scene and, after further checks, three graduated fixed penalty notices (GFPNs) were issued after the vehicles were found to have no insurance and the vans were seized.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team said: "We went to stop a van towing a caravan which wasn’t displaying correct VRM on the caravan at M6 Stafford Services.
"As we stopped, a convey of other vans & caravans stopped with us.
"Checks resulted in three GFPNs issued for no insurance and the vans seized."
