The number of Year 6 pupils in the Black Country who have landed a place at their preferred secondary school has been revealed.

Today (Monday, March 3), marks 'National Offer Day', which means children across the region have learned which secondary school they will be attending from September.
There, they will form friendships, sit exams and grow both emotionally and physically during their turbulent teenage years.
Parents were given until the end of October to make an application for child and now will have received a letter or email outlining their offers.

Here is the number of Year 6 pupils across the Black Country boroughs, comprising of Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall, who landed a spot at their preferred school.
Walsall
Almost 4000 Walsall children in Year 6 discovered on 'National Offer Day' which secondary school has offered them a place for the next academic year.
A total of 94 per cent of pupils in the borough were offered a secondary school of their choice.
Of the applications made, Walsall Council received 3,923 on time.
