Kyle Campbell-Huggins, 19, from Birmingham Road, Walsall, was caught trying to steal a McDonald's customer's mobile phone in Stafford.

On November 10, last year, Campbell-Huggins entered McDonald's, Greengate Street, Stafford, in a hood and stood next to his victim and then tried to snatch the iPhone. However, refusing to give up his property the victim retained his mobile phone.

Campbell-Huggins  then fled the restaurant and was spotted by police officers soon after at a bus stop in the town.

He told police officers he wanted to use the phone to ring his grandmother and would have given it back.
