Man, 49, charged for possession of knife in Sandwell

A 49-year-old man is to appear in court after being arrested for possession of a knife

Tomi Makula, aged 49, from Darlaston, is to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today for a first hearing after being stopped near a park in Darlaston Street. 

Makula was arrested after West Midlands Police were called to Birmingham Street, shortly after 8pm on Tuesday. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We’ve arrested and charged a man for possession of a knife in a Darlaston street.

"Tomi Makula, aged 49, from Darlaston, will appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today for a first hearing.

"He was arrested after we were called Birmingham Street shortly after 8pm on Tuesday."
