The 5-11 Club
Launched three years ago following the closure of the local Rainbows and Brownies club, the 5-11 Club is helping parents with young children once a week.
Operating on Monday, children are given activities to do such as cake decorations, painting and crafts.
Party sessions are also organised such as film nights, Halloween and Christmas.
It is a non-for-profit club which relies on the donations of supporters and small attendance fees. The group also gets subsidised rent costs from Holy Trinity Church in West Bromwich, where the club is based.
Bosses want a slice of the cash to pay for new laptops and tablets for the children to use. This, they say, will help them complete homework projects and assessments.
Club leader Beverley Mountain said: "With the laptops and tablets we would be able to work with more children to engage their imagination and understanding of the books they have read, help them to gain better IT skills, time to research and work on their set activities."
