Saturday night's not alright - Just 847 spaces for 14,000 at Elton John's Walsall show
Elton John fans coming to his concert in the Black Country will face a scramble for parking after it emerged there will be fewer than 850 parking spaces made available for the gig.
Around 14,000 people are expected to see the music icon perform at the Banks's Stadium venue in Walsall next Saturday.
Some of the stadium site in Bescot Crescent is needed for concert infrastructure and corporate use with Walsall FC securing the use of two other nearby sites to help cope with expected number vehicles.

Around 95 car parking areas will be provided at nearby Barhale and 200 at the Joseph Leckie car park.
There are around 430 next to the stadium, which will cost £10. And 122 spaces will be made available at the Bescot Stadium station, at a cost of £5 a space. It brings the total number to 847.
Otherwise, those travelling by car will be forced to seek surrounding streets to park.
Extra trains are being put on following the show, with people being encouraged to use public transport where possible.
The Morrisons superstore in Wallows Lane has said it will not be able to accommodate those going to the show.
Palfrey councillor Mohammed Nazir said:
"It is a good thing for the borough Elton John is coming and performing.
In terms of managing the traffic situation and the parking I would like to think the stadium can do their level best to ensure there is not a nuisance to the local people."
Bescot Crescent from the entrance to Bescot Retail Park to the junction at Brockhurst Crescent will be closed from 6pm. Trains from Bescot station To Birmingham will run at 10.43pm, 11.13pm and 11.43pm and to Walsall at 11pm and 11.41pm.
In a statement, Walsall FC said: "We have identified over 700 car parking spaces for concert goers. As an area of our current car park has to be utilised for the infrastructure of the concert, we have hired two additional car parks locally.
"We have a robust transport management plan in place which has been ratified by the local authority, who have supported and advised us throughout the planning for the event. It is a real coup to have Sir Elton's concert here in Walsall."
Parking at Barhale and Joseph Leckie car park will cost £5 each on 01922 651416.
