One Direction star Liam Payne shows off shell bikini in holiday snap
Joking around and posing in a shell bikini on holiday, One Direction heartthrob Liam Payne is finally taking a break from his hectic schedule.
The singer posted the fun snap of himself emerging from a swimming pool posing while on a luxury romantic holiday with girlfriend Sophia Smith.
Wearing black swim shorts and sunglasses, the 20-year-old singer posed cheekily against a backdrop of a beautiful tropical island.
And his picture attracted the attention of another famous shell-bikini wearer.
Lady Gaga, who wore a similar get up when she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, took to Twitter to express her approval.
Liam, of Bushbury in Wolverhampton, is enjoying some rest and relaxation with Sophia ahead of the band's mammoth 80-date tour, which is expected to net them more than $1 billion.
Posting the snap, Liam tweeted a message to Radio One DJ Scott Mills.
He wrote: "Hello mr @scott_mills listenin to you far away on holiday thank you for providing the soundtrack to our beach view."
It is believed romantic Liam had previously tweeted Mills to ask if he could play a song for his girlfriend, who he has been dating since last summer.
He asked for Gorgon City's new track, to help celebrate Sophia's birthday next week.
Liam wrote:
Sophia and Liam are childhood friends after meeting while they were both pupils at St Peter's Collegiate School in Wolverhampton.
