Fierce blaze at Smethwick scrapyard - 50 cars alight

A fierce blaze broke out at a scrapyard tonight.

Fifty cars were alight as crews from four engines tackled the flames at Lath Lane, Smethwick. The fire was reported at 8.30pm and firefighters were still battling to contain it 90 minutes later.
