Gun and knife raid terror at Sandwell bookies

A man armed with a gun and knife burst into a Sandwell bookmakers and threatened staff.

The raid took place around 8.20pm last night at William Hill in Queens Road, Smethwick, but the gunman fled empty handed.

No firearm was discharged and no one was injured.

Police are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Sandwell Police on 101.
