Inquest opens on two men killed in West Bromwich

An inquest has opened on two men who died in a car crash in West Bromwich.

Mandip Singh Khangura, aged 28, and Sukbir Singh Rana, 23, were in a Honda Civic when it crashed into a barrier and flipped over in Park Lane on August 14 at 10.12pm.

No other vehicle was involved. Mr Khangura, of Oxhill Road, Handsworth, died at the scene. Mr Rana, of Copthall Road, Handsworth, died in hospital.

Yesterday, Senior Coroner Robin Balmain opened the inquest in Dudley before adjourning it for police investigations.

He said: "I will get a detailed file from police and release the bodies for funerals. This is a tragedy for all of the families."
