Former Staffordshire Regiment colours to have a final parade
The old colours of the former Staffordshire Regiment are set to be paraded for the last time in a summer spectacular.

The military ceremony will see the four battalions of The Mercian Regiment appearing alongside each other for the first time since their formation in 2007. Each has been using the colours of the regiment they replaced with the 3rd Battalion The Mercian Regiment (3Mercian) taking on the mantle of The Staffords.
Now the four battalions will receive their own colours in a presentation ceremony at Worcester Rugby Club's Sixways Stadium on a date yet to be announced.
This will never occur again as 3Mercian is set to merge with 1 and 2 Mercian.
