The Express & Star remains Britain's biggest selling regional newspaper in the printed format, but online customers can now subscribe to digital services via their computer desktop or an application for iPad and iPhone users.
The latest technology means all editions of the paper are available to web subscribers.
Readers who sign up for an online subscription get the latest edition of the Midlands Newspaper of the Year award-winning title within minutes of publication.
Reader Les Gough and his wife Jean, who live in Edinburgh Drive, Short Heath, Willenhall, get the newspaper delivered daily.
Mr Gough, aged 79, also subscribes to the Express & Star's new desktop service. He says the unusual arrangement stops them competing over who gets to read it first.
"I read the newspaper on my laptop, while Jean reads the printed copy in the armchair in front of the TV," he explained. "That way we are both happy."
On the digital offerings, stories are complemented each day with video uploads, which allow readers to watch footage linked to the in-depth news and sport coverage.
The Express & Star desktop service costs £1.49 per week, £3.99 per month or 69p for one day access. To try out the new service, go to www.expressandstar.com/digital-subscribe. The app service is a separate package, available at £1.49 per week or £3.99 per month via the App Store. Visit www.expressandstar.com/app
