West Bromwich broadband speed slips

West Bromwich has slipped from having the fastest broadband speed in the UK to being out of the top 10 in 12 months.

In 2011, research from uSwitch.com ranked the town fastest in the country with a download speed of 13.2 megabytes per second.

But this year the rate had fallen to 8.8 mbps. On average UK broadband download speeds rose to 7.84.
