Date set for 2012 Sandwell parade

A date has been set for next year's Sandwell St George's Day parade, organisers revealed today.

April 22 has been secured as the date for the event, which is set to attract more than 20,000 people, with preparations now underway to start fundraising and raise the £10,000 needed to hold the march.

This year's patriotic march through West Bromwich went ahead successfully on April 24, and tens of thousands of people attended this year's parade and fun day in West Bromwich.

Organisers hope to make the event even more of a success with a bumper programme of events at Dartmouth Park for people to join after the parade takes place.
