The veteran 40-year-old travels all over the country keeping mares mellow on the way to meetings.

A children's riding pony in his youth, he is now in the stable of Frank Sheridan, resident trainer at Wolverhampton's Dunstall Park racecourse.

Mr Sheridan, aged 49, has been training at Wolverhampton since February after moving from Averham Park, Nottinghamshire, bringing Robbie with him.
